Restaurant

Only the finest local produce is used in the preparation of delicious home-cooked food and special dietary requirements are catered for. Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and if desired, breakfast can be served in the resident's room. Here At Hedges House we consider mealtimes a very important part of the day. With this in mind, we operate a ‘ protected mealtime’ policy and respectfully ask that family and visitors avoid mealtimes when visiting the home.

Lounges & Gardens

All residents have access to a variety of comfortable lounges. These include an air-conditioned garden room, a fully licensed bar and a reading area. There is an electronic organ for those residents wishing to play. Beautifully presented and well-stocked gardens with ample seating, give pleasure to residents, families and neighbours alike. Since 2008, Hedges House has been awarded coveted top prizes in both the Lytham in Bloom and Royal Horticultural Society National Awards.

Entertainment

A stimulating programme of daily activites is organised for those wishing to take part. Birthdays, Christmas and national events are always celebrated when families and friends are made most welcome. Excursions, drives in the country and visits to local garden centres are regularly organised and residents are encouraged to take advantage of these social activities.

In spring and summer, garden events such as barbecues and ‘champagne and strawberry afternoons’ are organised, giving way in autumn and winter to indoor gatherings, including Christmas parties and our very popular Carol Service.

Our days out to Garden Centres, the Ribble Valley, Knowsley Safari Park and of course, the famous Blackpool Illuminations, are always popular.

Please follow our Facebook Page for regular updates on our events diary.
